Phnom Penh Air Cargo Hub Development Project (P24-S1)
Cambodia Airports started constructing and upgrading the new cargo terminal for air transport at the Phnom Penh international airport. The number of passengers at this airport was 11,634,953 in 2019. While there were 6.02 million passengers at Phnom Penh International Airport, the Siem Reap international airport received 3.92 million passengers. Regarding the cargo transport, the Phnom Penh International Airport handled 77,181 tons of goods in 2019 and these handling volumes have rapidly been increasing for a decade. To cope with the demand for air transport, the government and the concessionaire agreed to build a new cargo terminal for air cargo transport at the Phnom Penh International Airport, which was completed and approximately cost US$ 100 million.
