Online Workshop on Transport and Logistics Data Management

On May 29, 2023, Ms. Sorn Sopheavatey, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Logistics, led the "Online Workshop on Transport and Logistics Data Management" with the online participation of representatives from the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) and the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP) of the Kingdom of Thailand, the Transport Development and Strategy Institute (TDSI) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Lao People’s Democratic Republic, and related departments of the General Department of Logistics, Ministry of Public Works and Transport of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The workshop was organized with the technical assistance from the Project for Improving the Logistics System of Cambodia - Phase 2 (CLIP2) of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), with the aims to share experiences in transport and logistics data management and strengthen cooperation with related institutions in the region. Within this workshop, there are various presentations on key topics, including:
1). Presentation on Key Findings by JICA Expert. 2). Presentation on Transport and Logistics Data Management by the General Department of Logistics of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Cambodia. 3). Presentation on Thailand’s Logistics Data Management by Logistics Development Strategy Division of NESDC, Thailand. 4). Presentation on Transport and Logistics Data Management by Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning (OTP), Thailand. 5). Presentation on Practical experiences of transport and logistics data collection, processing and reporting by Transport Development and Strategy Institute (TDSI), Vietnam. 6). Presentation on National Strategy on Freight Transport and Logistics Development in Lao PDR by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Lao PDR. 7) Moreover, each institution also shared the challenges and solutions in transport and logistics data management. Lastly, all related institutions from the region including Vietnam, Lao PDR, Thailand and Cambodia will further promote cooperation in the logistics sector, through sharing of focal points in the field of transport and logistics data management.
