The project is for debottlenecking of the road corridor between Sihanoukville andPhnom Penh. Key components are: (i) improvements of NR/NH 4; and (ii) developmentof the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway.The project has been implemented by the General Department of Public Works(GDPW) in which the improvements of NR/NH 4 was financed by World Bank, and thedevelopment of the Phnom Penh-Sihanoukville Expressway was financed by thegovernment of People’s Republic of China. Currently, the Project for Debottleneckingof the Intercorridor Link (Improvement of NR/NH4 and Sihanoukville-Phnom PenhExpressway Section) (P11-S2) is ongoing with overall progress of 32.65%. This projectalso encounters some challenges during Covid-19 pandemic.
