Vessel TraffickingManagement Information System (VTMIS) (P14-S2)
The project is to install Vessel Trafficking Management Information System (VTMIS)on the coast of Cambodia for the surveillance of vessels navigating offshore. Theproject contains following six system installations, including the replacement ofoutdated equipment and refurbishment of the existing VTS (Vessel Tracking System) center; Radar, AIS (Automatic Identification System), ITV (Industrial Television), VHF(Very High Frequency), and VTMIS.The project objectives includes; ensuring safe navigation for the vessels calling anddeparting Sihanoukville Port, ensuring security for economic activities in the sea off thecoast of Cambodia, and sustaining economic growth of Cambodia by ensuring safetyand security of the sea.This project isimplemented by Sihanoukville Autonomous Port (PAS) with supportfrom Japanese Grant Aid by providing benefits including reducing maritime hazardsand reducing operating costs at ports.
