Capacity Building on  Modernization of Logistics Data Collection and Management: Knowledge Sharing and Exchange Visit in the Republic of Korea

Phnom Penh, 14th March 2023 **LCT Tong Phally**, undersecretary of state of Ministry of Public Works and Transport, presides over the opening ceremony of the consultation workshop on Final Draft of “Cambodia Logistic Information Modernization Master Plan” under the Official Development Assistance (ODA) of the Republic of Korea through the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport  of the Republic of Korea.
The final draft of the “Cambodia Logistic Information Modernization Master Plan” is developed with cooperation by Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements (KRIHS), Neighbor System, Incheon National University and SAMOOCM. Through surveying, discussion, research, and pilot testing these past years, Korean expert team prepares the Final Draft of “Cambodia Logistic Information Modernization Master Plan” for review and comment in this consultation workshop, for the master plan to be comprehensive and in-depth. The consultative workshop is an opportunity for stakeholders in both the public and private sectors to jointly discuss and comment on the final draft of the master plan.

National Logistics Information Portal Handover Ceremony

Phnom Penh, MPWT: Wednesday, 14 December, 2022, Her Excellency Koy Sodany, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Project Director of the Project Management Unit of Cambodia Logistics Improvement Project Phase II and Ms. MIYAHARA Ai, Senior Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Cambodia, co-chaired the second meeting of the Joint Coordinating Committee of the project to review and discuss the implementation process of the Cambodia Logistics System Improvement Project Phase II.

The meeting discussed some issues, including:
1.	Progress of Border Improvement activities at Cambodia-Thailand and Cambodia-Vietnam Border Gate
2.	Progress of Green Logistics Policy development
3.	Progress of Cold Chain Policy development

2nd Joint Coordinating Committee Meeting of Project for Improving the Logistics System of Cambodia (Phase 2)

Bangkok: Monday, 21st November 2022, fives officials of the General Department of Logistics led by **Mr. Sor Yilin**, Director of the Department of Logistics Monitoring, and Evaluation, join a technical study visit from 21-25 November 2022. The main objectives of this technical study visit is as following:

1.  Understand the data collection practices of the relevant authorities in Thailand
2.  Strengthen the capacity of officials of the General Department of Logistics in charge of data collection for the ASEAN-Japan Experts Group Meeting
3.  Study and understand the development of logistics and transportation statistical data and develop an action plan for the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
4.  Improve the relationship between officials of the two countries for future cooperation to strengthen capacity and expand knowledge in the Logistics fields

Phnom Penh, 11 November 2022, at the Sokha Residence Hotel in Phnom Penh, the Unveiling Ceremony of the project " MULTI-MODAL PHNOM PENH LOGISTICS COMPLEX (PPLC)" is presided over by His Excellency Dr. AUN Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Ministry of Economy and Finance, Senior Representative of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The Phnom Penh PPLC Multipurpose Logistics Center project has been a priority in the National Transport and Logistics Master Plan 2022-2030, and the official Unveiling of the PPLC project on this occasion reflects many positive points includes:
1) Strong friendship and relations between Cambodia and Singapore
2) Endorsement of the Royal Government of Cambodia to support the development of the MULTI-MODAL PHNOM PENH LOGISTICS COMPLEX (PPLC) project
3) Encouraging investment between foreign and local investors; and
4) Strengthening connectivity in the field of transport and logistics in Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS), ASEAN and the world.

Unveiling Ceremony of ”MULTI-MODAL PHNOM PENH LOGISTICS COMPLEX” (PPLC) during the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summit and Related Summits

Phnom Penh, 04 November 2022, His Excellency Chheing Pich, Director General of the General Department of Logistics of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and STOM Leader of Cambodia chairs the 4th Green Logistics Partnership Meeting 2022.

The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and share experiences on policy development, implementation and challenges related to the green logistics sector and to set directions and action plans to improve the green logistics sector in the ASEAN region.

Green logistics plays an important role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Since climate change is an issue involving many sectors of the economy, the public and private sectors need to work together to address this issue effectively and responsibly.

1. Review the implementation of Kuala Lumpur Transport Strategic Plan 2016-2025 (Kuala Lumpur Transport Strategic Plan 2016-2025, KLTSP-2025)
2. Set goals and action plans for the implementation of KLTSP-2025 in 2023
3. Organize work related to the 28th ASEAN Transport Ministers' Meeting from 16-17 October 2022.

54th ASEAN Senior Transport Official Meeting and Associated Meetings

Phnom Penh 12 October 2022, **H.E. Chheang Pich** Director General, General Department of Logistics, Ministry of Public Works and Transport chaired Project Inception Workshop on “Establishment of a Comprehensive Plan of Cross-Border Checkpoint Facility at International Border Trapeang Srae, Cambodia” of Korea’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) within a participation by Dr. Yu-Han-Jun Senior Advisor, representative from The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport and another relevant stakeholder around 50 people.

The purpose of this workshop is to present the project “Establishment of Comprehensive Plan of Cross-Border Checkpoint Facility at International Border Trapeang Srae, in Kratie Province, Cambodia-Vietnam Border” under the Official Development Assistance of the Republic of Korea (ODA), which will take approximately 24 months for feasibility study from August 2022 to June 2024.

The project focuses on the study on construction of infrastructure, cross border facilities of International Border Gate of Trapeang Sre, including: Immigration office, Border Management office, Tourist Building, power plant, dormitory and Container Yard.
