Phnom Penh: On Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, His Excellency Chhieng Pich, General Director of the General Department of Logistics, met with a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Thailand led by Her Excellency Arjaree Sriratanaban, General Director of the General Department of East Asian.

In this discussion, H.E. Director General present about the Intermodal Transport Connectivity and Logistics System Master Plan which is being prepared by the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and the Supreme National Economic Council and also informed the Thai delegation about the progress of Construction of Cross Border Facilities at Stung Bot international border gate.

Meeting Delegation from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Thailand

Hanoi, 16 August 2022, His Excellency Pen Boran, Under Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, led a delegation of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport to Study visit and work discussion with public and private institutions in Vietnam. The purpose of the visit is to learn about the important functions of public sector in the development of the transport and logistics sector, to strengthen cooperation in the field of logistics between the two countries, to understand the formulation and implementation of policies, learn about education and human resource development in the field of logistics in Vietnam, understand of the project implementation, especially the implementation of YCH Superport Logistics Center development project near Hanoi.

Study visit and works discussion with public and private institutions in Vietnam

Phnom Penh: 21 July 2022, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Mr. Kith Chandararith, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Logistics, on behalf of His Excellency Director General Chhieng Pich, Cambodia STOM leader, lead a Cambodian delegation to participate in the 20th ASEAN-JAPAN Senior Transport Officials (STOM) Leaders Conference. The conference was proposed to:

1. Review the progress of the implementation of the ASEAN-Japan Transport Partnership AJTP Action Plan
2. Consideration of new initiatives and the feasibility to submit for the formal approval at the 20th ASEAN and Japan Transport Minister Meeting (20th ATM-Japan) in October 2022.

The 20th ASEAN-JAPAN Senior Transport Officials (STOM) Leaders Conference

Bangkok: 19 July, 2022, **Her Excellency Koy Sodany**, Secretary of State Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Representative **His Excellency HE Sun Chanthol**, accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Cambodia, attended the Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony. with the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) of the Kingdom of Thailand.
The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding is voluntary for cooperation and support in policy making, in key areas and directions, including:

1. Policy framework, including transport policy, legal and regulatory framework, institutional framework, coordination and decision-making mechanism, policy implementation process, monitoring and evaluation.
2. Logistics indicators, including logistics costs per GDP and Logistics Performance Index (LPI).
3. Support each other in strengthening institutional capacity and the capacity of stakeholders in the logistics sector.

Dissemination Workshop of the Annual Report on the Implementation of the Cambodia  Interim Master Plan on Intermodal Transport and Logistics Connectivity in 2021

Phnom Penh, 17 June 2022, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, **His Excellency Chhieng Pich**, Director General of the General Department of Logistics and Cambodia STOM Leader, presided over the ceremony. A delegation from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and relevant ministries participated in the Multi-Stakeholder Policy Dialogue on Empowering ASEAN for Circular Economy.
This multilateral policy dialogue is organized for the following main purposes:

1. Introduce framework for Circular Economy for the ASEAN Economic Community and provide an overview of the key drivers of the modern economy.
2. Review the policy factors that lead to success and facilitate the participation of the private sector in the Circular Economy, especially for sectors such as agriculture, energy, and transportation.
3. Establish framework for public-private partnerships that will accelerate regional efforts towards an efficient Circular Economy.

Multi-Stakeholder Policy Dialogue on Empowering ASEAN for Circular Economy

Siem Reap Province, 14 June 2022, His Excellency Trak Thai Sieng, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, presided over the 25th Meeting of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Subregional Transport Forum (STF-25) under the theme: "Taking Action on GMS 2030 Strategy and COVID-19 Plan with Emerging Ideas.". The purpose of the meeting was to report and exchange ideas on how the Mekong Sub-Region Transport Forum (STF) can contribute toward implementing the priorities and initiatives under the GMS Economic Cooperation Program Strategic Framework 2030 (GMS-2030) and GMS COVID-19 Response and Recovery Plan; and to update and/or agree on the next steps for:
1. Road Safety in GMS
2. Greater Mekong Railway Association (GMRA) and GMS Railway Development
3. GMS Freight Transport Association (FRETA) and Improvements in logistics in GMS
4. Early Harvest GMS CBTA

Greater Mekong Subregion 25th Meeting of the Subregional Transport Forum 

Phnom Penh, May 25, 2022, **H.E CHHIENG Pich**, Director General, General Department of Logistics, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, chaired and opened a Training and Knowledge Sharing Workshop for Capacity Building and Institutional Strengthening for Logistics Monitoring and Evaluation Framework Development in Cambodia and CLV countries (2nd Session).

The workshop was organized by the General Department of Logistics through the Technical Cooperation Project of the Mekong-Republic of Korea Cooperation Fund (MKCF) from 25 to 27 May 2022. A total of 60 participants participate in person and via video conference which included representatives of the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam, representatives of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Laos, representatives of the Mekong Institute, National and International Logistics Consultants, relevant General Departments under the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, Phnom Penh Autonomous Port, Cambodia Logistics Association (CLA) and the Cambodia Land Transport Association (CAMTA).

The workshop focused on the following topics: 1) Global Logistics Performance Index, 2) Measuring and Monitoring along corridors on the logistics and transport sector, 3) Predicting and developing modeling approaches for Flow of cargo or containers and other cost in the logistics sector, and 4) Practice some assignment by group discussion, and some case studies in Asian countries.

Preah Sihaknouk Province, 28-29 April 2022, General Department of Logistics, Ministry of Public Works and Transport have been organized Training and Knowledge Sharing Workshop of Capacity building and institutional strengthening for Logistics Monitoring and Evaluation Database Development in Cambodia and CLV countries chaired by H.E. CHHIENG Pich, Director General, General Department of Logistics within around 60 participation joining in-person and virtually from Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Sihanoukville Autonomous Port, Phnom Penh Autonomous Port, Cambodia Logistics Association (CLA), the Cambodia Land Transport Association (CAMTA) and other relevant institutions and as well as online participation from international consultant, representative of the Mekong Institute (MI), the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Laos and the Ministry of Transport of Vietnam.

The purpose of this workshop was to build and strengthen the capacity of relevant officials and institutions in both the public and private sectors on the preparation, compilation and collection of statistics data, as well as to strengthen the capacity to organize the framework for monitoring and evaluation of the logistics sector in Cambodia.

In addition, the workshop also shared a knowledge and experience on organizing, compiling, collecting and managing data on the logistics data between the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Cambodia, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport of Laos and the Ministry of Transport. Of Vietnam.

Training and Knowledge Sharing Workshop: Logistics Statistics Management

Phnom Penh 16 November 2022, At Ministry of Public Works and Transport, **H.E. So Vector**, Secretary of State Representative of **H.E. Sun Chanthol** Senior Minister, Minister of Public Works and Transport, presided for the Handover Ceremony of 2,000 standard pallets Under Official Development Assistance from 

Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport, Republic of Korea to Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Kingdom of Cambodia within the participation from other line ministries and relevant stakeholders.

These 2000 standard pallets from the Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport, Republic of Korea, to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Kingdom of Cambodia under the official development assistance for the project “Cambodia Master Plan of Logistics System Modernization and Pilot Project of Logistics Computer System”. The relevant institutions that will be receiving these standard pallets includes; the Sihanouk vile Autonomous Port (PAS), Phnom Penh Autonomous Port (PPAP), and Poi Pet O’Neang Special Economic Zone.

H.E. Secretary of State added that within the first stage of this project, 2000 units of the standard pallet are to be provided to Cambodia for usages by relevant institutions and conduct study on the standard pallet usages in Cambodia, which are components in the implementation of the project “Cambodia Master Plan of Logistics System Modernization and Pilot Project of Logistics Computer System” that implemented by the General Department of Logistics, Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Kingdom of Cambodia, with the ongoing supports from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) of the Republic of Korea, and Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements (KRIHS).
